Boston Pizza Locations Across Alberta Raise Funds for Slave Lake
Boston Pizza Foundation donates $20,000 to kick-off campaign
May 24, 2011, Edmonton, AB – On Wednesday, May 25th, $5.00 from the sale of every medium and large pizza sold at any of the 93 Boston Pizza locations in Alberta will be donated to help with the rebuilding of Slave Lake.
“Boston Pizza International, the Boston Pizza Foundation and our franchisees in Alberta have joined together to help raise funds for the rebuilding of Slave Lake, Alberta,” says Alan Howie, Regional Vice President, Boston Pizza International. “With a Boston Pizza restaurant in Slave Lake, we have been following the events over the past few weeks very closely and this fundraiser will help our friends and neighbours during this difficult time.”
The Boston Pizza Foundation has committed $20,000 is support of Slave Lake and this, along with all funds raised in-store, will be directed towards the rebuilding phase of relief efforts.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Slave Lake and all those affected by recent events,” said Cheryl Treliving, Executive Director, Boston Pizza Foundation. “We also recognize the tremendous efforts of the volunteers and residents who have worked tirelessly around the clock throughout the community.”
